A poem I wrote...

"Loveones..."

There is going to be a moment in your day
Where you will suddenly realized
I am not there to see, to touch, or talk to.
That moment will be filled with sorrow, tears and longing for me...
You might even regret the times we'd never get to share,
All these you will feel the moment I joined God in heaven.

You see I didn't want to go..
Because I know I'm going to miss you too.
But when HE called for my name & held me by the hand,
"Son, it's time for you to come...I'm taking you to my promised land"
"No hunger, no pain, no past to look back..."
"There is no tommorow to worry & hurt...."
I knew then that today will always last..it's all the eternity my heart desires.

So now I am with HIM and I see your eyes filled with tears...
Oh how I long to wipe the tears and wrapped you tenderly.
Please my dearest loveones, be not in despair
But if you must grieve..I ask you to not let these
....hinder you from all the wonderful things that's left for you to fullfill.

I know how much you love me....
You've shown me in many ways.
You are my blessings, and remembered I will always be
by loveones & friends, by you, most specially.

When it seems solace is so distant away...
That neither the arms of a friend
Or a loveone's shoulder can comfort you,
Please close your eyes and envelope yourself
With the times of our lives filled with love, laughter & tears
and that moment I will be...right here in your heart.

To Hazel,
I hope these little thoughts will make you feel a little better. As a matter of fact, these are truths that we already know but we chose to ignore:
Life on earth has always been complicated. It is always short (for some, even shorter). Life is what man gives back to God he's purpose is up on earth. Life on earth is and will always be precious (and short?). But remember, the "After Life" is more precious but forever!
So, just cherish good memories of your PAPA and rejoice for he's now happy and back in God's loving hands!

Take care,
Arlene & Danny

Hi Hazel,
Our prayers are with you. I know how it feels to lose a father for I"ve been thru it. John and I are praying to our Heavenly Father to give you all the strength for you will certainly need it. The only consolation that you will have is knowing that he is with Him now and no longer suffering.
We're glad that Dan is there for you on this trying time. Take care of yourselves.
With Symphaty'

Gem, I had lost your journal after the mass exodus but I am so glad I found it. This was an incredible and comforting piece. You are becoming such a brilliant writer. It kills me when I think of that shy, tentative writer that first ventured into blogging. I feel like my writing is not as wonderful as yours. I am so proud to know you.

Gem,

So many people feeling pain and sorrow during this holiday season as they think of lost loved ones.

This poem was beautiful and we are all reminded that the holidays are not just about punch and cookies, but the huge chasn of pain that we sometimes feel with the absence of loved ones during this significant time of the year.

PS: So glad I tracked you down.

This journal tracking is becoming exhausting, though!
